Tips for Helping Your Doctor Help You

While I visit a doctor who I really like and trust, I tend to "freeze up" in the office and forget all of the symptoms I had been experiencing. Every time I would leave my doctor's office after a check-up I would remember something I wanted to ask them or a mild symptom I had been having that I wanted to make sure was "normal." I know others likely have this problem, so I wanted to share what helped me. I began keeping a journal to relax in the evening before bed, and at the bottom of each page, I jot down anything I am wondering about my health or any new symptom I had that day. Then, the day before I visit my doctor, I jot the experiences and dates down on a sheet to take in. I plan to share many more health tips on my new blog!
